To turn OFF the SMS notification, simply go to Mail, Settings, and select NO and you will no longer receive an SMS via your mobile phone for each email that you received.
Email notifications are charged at USD$0.10 per SMS that is sent. If you have no credit in your account, no SMS will be sent.
