Broken Promises

Why promise if you can’t keep it?
Why say something when you don’t mean it?
Why bring hope when you intend to crash it?
Why make a dream when you don’t want to live it?A broken promise, it cannot be mended
A meaningless word, not what is intended
A dashed hope, it may no longer thrive
A lifeless dream, it will never be revived
A true promise is one that is kept
When you say something, don’t ever take it back
When you send hope, make sure it gets there
When you wish a dream, don’t just leave it in the air.
